The moment you accept what troubles you’ve been given, the door will open.

Welcome

We’re so glad you found us. We approach the work of therapy with reverence, openness, warmth, and connection. We are an actively anti-oppressive, trauma-informed practice specializing in child & adolescent mental health, emerging adults, perinatal mental health, and infertility. Take a moment to read more about our services and reach out for a free consultation to see if we’d work well together. We have immediate openings and take BCBS, Aetna and Duke Student Insurance.

Openings

We take BCBS and Aetna, including the State Health Plan. We also provide SuperBills for out-of-network reimbursement and accept HSA and FSA. Laura takes Duke Student Insurance. Reach out via our contact form to be connected our admin, Julia. If we have an appropriate therapist available, Julia will get you connected with them so you can chat and see if it is a mutual fit. If you have a child younger than 12, Julia will first connect you with Laura, our practice owner, who will help connect you with the right therapist.

As of April 2025: Becky is back from parental leave and has immediate openings for afternoon virtual sessions. Alex has a waitlist of 6 months for daytime appointments. Her waitlist for after school spots (3PM and later) is likely 12 months. Laura, and Sam each have limited but immediate openings, and are adding clients to their waitlists. Genna has a short waitlist for virtual appointments.

I want to be light and frolicsome.
I want to be improbable beautiful and afraid of nothing,
as though I had wings.”
